First Aid Kit Checklist
This first aid kit checklist provides a guide for necessary items in a well equipped motorcycle first aid kit.

Basic Kit:
1. Carrying Case: Any type of case that you may have around the house will work. It should be flexible so you can pack it easily in a saddle bag.
2. Band Aids: Various sizes, Suggest about 20 total.
3. Adhesive Tape: 1 roll of ½ inch, and a roll of 1 inch if you have room.
4. 4 X 4 Gauze Bandages: Include several of these , about a dozen.
5. 2 X 2 Gauze Bandages: Same as above.
6. Roller Gauze Bandages: 2 rolls of the 2 or 3 inch. If you have additional room, you may want to include a couple more rolls.
7. Triangular Bandages: 1 for sure, 2 if you have room.
8. Bandage Scissors: 1 pair. These are the blunt type and won’t inflict further injury.
9. Tweezers or Forceps: 1 pair, great for splinters.
10. Gloves: 2 or 3 pair of medical grade non-latex gloves, some people are allergic to latex and may break out in a rash.
11. Antiseptic Wipes: Prepackaged wipes are available, carry several.
12. Hand Sanitizer: Available in convenient squeeze tubes.
13. Neosporin, Bacitracin or Providone-iodine ointment: For dressing wounds, 1 small tube.
14. Safety Pins: 6

16. Non-Prescription Drugs: Aspirin or non-Aspirin pain relievers, Anti-Diarrhea medication, Antacids. Laxatives.
17. Face Mask: For CPR use.
   
Other Items as space allows:
1. Plastic Bags: Small and large, For clean-up and storage of small items.
2. Bandages: Fingertip and knuckle sizes, eye coverings, larger 6 X 6 pads, another roll or two of elastic bandages or gauze rolls for sprains, another triangle bandage.
3. Antiseptic Wipes: These are indispensable.
4. Insect Repellent: 1 Can or tube.
5. Anti-Itch Crème: 1 tube.
6. Travel/Motion Sickness medication.
7. Finger Splints: 2, can also use tongue depressors.
8. Burn Ointment: 1 tube.
9. Sunscreen: 1 tube/bottle.
10. Wrapped Sanitary Napkins: for nose bleeds, or to clean blood from wounds.
11. Moleskin: Great for blisters.
12. Benadryl: Antihistamine tablets.
13. Snake Bite Kit/Extractor: Used also for bee stings.
14. Eye Wash liquid: 1 bottle. May also include eye ointment.
   
Please note that the lists above are suggestions only; you can certainly add to the list or delete any items you may feel necessary. Carry only those items you know how to use. From time to time, check your kit and restock worn products, and replaced old, expired drugs. Remember that you need knowledge to go along with your first aid kit, and it is important to keep your first aid and CPR certifications current.
   
If you are traveling with a group, you may want to share the above items so you don’t have to carry everything yourself.
